Privacy policy
How this website handles visitor information.
This is a plain static website — a set of hand-written HTML pages with no server-side application, no accounts, no comments, and no cookies of its own. We do not run Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or any other tracking or advertising script. Last updated August 2026.
What we collect
Nothing, directly. There is no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, and no login. The Contact page uses plain mailto: links, so a message you send goes straight from your own email program to ours and never passes through this website. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs — IP address, browser, timestamp — the way most web hosts do by default, but we do not use them for anything and do not share them with anyone.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The two embedded services described below may set their own, as explained there.
Third-party content we embed
Google Calendar. The ride calendar embeds a Google Calendar iframe, and a small script on the homepage and the ride page calls the Google Calendar API to list upcoming rides. Google may set its own cookies and log your visit according to its own privacy policy.
Strava. The homepage and the ride page embed Strava's own club-activity widget in an iframe. That widget is Strava's page, not ours, and we have confirmed it loads Google's advertising and tag-manager scripts — including DoubleClick and AdWords tags — as part of Strava's own page, not anything we add. An iframe is a separate browsing context, so nothing this site does can govern what loads inside it: embedding the widget means Strava, and its advertising partners, may set cookies and collect data on their own terms, entirely outside our control.
If you would rather avoid that, a browser extension that blocks third-party trackers will stop it without affecting the rest of the page, or you can visit the club's Strava page directly instead of viewing the embedded widget.
Member biographies
The bios on our Team page were carried over word-for-word from the club's old website. A few of them include small flag icons that load as images from s.w.org, WordPress.org's icon service, which can see your IP address the same way any embedded image can. We left these bios exactly as written rather than editing them, so this is a case where an old piece of content, not our current website, is the source of a third-party request.
